Our client organization recognized that an adaptive organisational culture was a critical aspect in supporting their regional growth strategy, for 2015 and beyond, in delivering highly innovative solutions for their customers.
Accelerance was requested to design and co-facilitate a workshop which aimed at equipping their organization’s cultural change ambassadors with the ability to engage their leadership teams in creating locally relevant culture change action plans that are closely aligned to the performance they’d needed to achieve.
The purpose of the workshop was to help participant ambassadors in understanding the key challenges facing their organization and the crucial role they play in driving future performance.
During the first part of the workshop, in order to help participant ambassadors understand the cultural gap between ‘where we are now’ and ‘where we need to be’, we facilitated discussions for establishing a clear definition of their existing organisational culture, and envisioning a desired state of change which are tied to their organization’s core values and behaviours. The sessions were also design to provide participants with some practical tools to create their own locally relevant action plans for driving culture change.
The second part of the workshop was designed to facilitate a co-creation process where participants worked together to develop an initial plan for improving their organisation’s culture. Consolidate themes and existing systemic issues which were identified during this process as having an impact on their culture would be fed back to their steering committee comprised of senior leaders.
Success on the day was evaluated by creation of an action planning template as well as an initial plan to help their leadership teams plan and implement locally relevant culture change. This was also leveraged as an opportunity for regional representatives to share best practice and build support networks for driving upcoming change initiatives.
